Society Terms & Conditions

1. Provisional Bookings
All bookings are provisional until the signed agreement is received together with the required deposit. Windwhistle Golf Club
will hold a provisional booking for 14 days, but should another client subsequently wish to book and confirm the same date(s)
you will be asked to confirm your booking within 48 hours. Windwhistle Golf Club reserves the right to release the above
provisionally held date(s) if the deposit is not received.

2. Numbers
The minimum number of players for any golf day will be eight players.

3. Confirmation and Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of £5 per person is required to secure a provisional booking. Should a booking be cancelled
within 7 days of the date required, Windwhistle Golf Club shall be entitled to charge and invoice the client an additional
sum representing the balance of 100% (including the deposit) of the booking.

4. Payment
The confirmed number of players and food and beverage requirements must be received in the Sales Office no later than 7
days prior to the event. Full payment is required upon arrival. Please be advised that if numbers are reduced later than 3 days
prior to the event it will be necessary to charge for meals not taken.

5. Conditions of Play
Play will be in four-ball format playing from the yellow tees at 7-8 minute intervals. The time allocated for 9 holes is 2 hours.
It is the responsibility of each group to keep up with the speed of play. Proper golf shoes must be worn and the dress code
adhered to. It is the responsibility of the organiser to inform his/her guests of this. Please note that soft spikes are preferred.

6. Course Etiquette
It is the responsibility of the organiser to ensure that his/her guests are aware of the standard etiquettes of golf. Failure to
comply with this will result in the individuals concerned being removed from the golf course.

7. Course Closure
Closure of the course due to inclement weather is rare. However any decision to close is at the discretion of the Golf Course
Manager and can be made at any time. Any closure will be advised to the organiser as soon as possible. In the event of the
course being closed on the day, alternative arrangements will be made under the terms of our Adverse Weather Policy. Under
no circumstances will Windwhistle Golf Club be responsible for consequential loss, however it arises.

8. Buggies and Segways
Golf buggies and segways can be booked prior to the event. Use of the buggies by the Golf Day participants is the
responsibility of the Golf Day organiser and he/she will be liable for any damage incurred to the buggy or the course. Private
buggies and segways cannot be used without prior consent.

9. Liability
We can accept no liability or responsibility for:
Loss or damage to belongings. Persons wishing to leave belongings on the premises do so entirely at their own risk.
Damage or injury to any visitor or their property.
Cover for public liability, property damage and loss, whilst on the club’s property or premises.

10. Conduct and Damage to Property
In the event of guests’ behaviour being unacceptable, the Management reserves the right to insist upon the offending
individuals’ immediate departure. Furthermore the client undertakes to pay all reasonable costs incurred in making good any
breakages or damages at any of the Windwhistle Golf Club properties resulting directly or indirectly from the behaviour or
conduct of the client or the client’s guests.

11. Private Functions
You are advised that Windwhistle clubhouses are also used for private functions. If you visit us when another function is in
progress, please give consideration to other users and observe any clubhouse notices in place on the day. It is not possible
to hire our facilities exclusively.
